This beautiful little bird can be painted to resemble many of the little birds we see in our gardens such as a robin. You could also make up your own.and paint her tropical! Why not add some personal touches like a necklace or special marks to make her unique. Eyelashes always are a flattering addition I find, also eyebrows can add a more masculine aesthetic...that and a moustache.... tho the birds may protest.
Use a varnish for a shiny look.
